The Tony Hancock Special (also known as Hancock Down Under and Terra Australis ) is a 1972 Australian comedy film directed by Edward Joffe. Edited together from the first three episodes of an unreleased television series titled Hancock Down Under (the production of which was canceled in 1968 when star Tony Hancock committed suicide after the first three episodes had been filmed), the film revolves around English comedian Tony Hancock moving to Australia and being unimpressed with Australian "culture".
