The Nouba of the Women of Mount Chenoua (original French title La nouba des femmes du mont Chenoua ) is a 1979 Algerian semi-documentary drama film directed by Assia Djebar (as Assia Djebbar). The film examines a woman returning to her native region fifteen years after the end of the Algerian civil war and reflecting with other Algerian women about the differences between her life and theirs. It is presented here in its original Arabic with English subtitles.
