The Gorilla 1939 ½ : Comedy Bela Lugosi/Ritz Brothers Nice still

The Gorilla is a 1939 American comedy horror film starring the Ritz Brothers, Anita Louise, Art Miles, Lionel Atwill, Bela Lugosi, and Patsy Kelly. It was based on the 1925 play of the same name by Ralph Spence. Plot: A serial killer, who promotes himself as "The Gorilla", has targeted the wealthy Walter Stevens as his next victim. Stevens has hired an inept trio of detectives to provide protection (the Ritz Brothers). To further confuse things, there is a real gorilla in a cage in the garage and someone releases it to wanders around the premises.
