The Flower Girl (1972)
The Flower Girl (original Korean spelling 꽃파는 처녀, which transliterates to Kotpanum chonio ) is a 1972 North Korean musical drama film directed by Ik-gyu Choe (as Ik Kyu Choe) and Hak Park (as Hak Pak). An adaptation of Kim Il Sung's 1972 opera of the same name, the film revolves around a Korean woman living under Japanese occupation who sells flowers to pay for her sick mother's medicine. It is presented here in its original Korean with English subtitles.
