Drama criminal mudo com legendas em português. Amigo da jogatina, o conde Raoul perde uma fortuna e não tem como pagar. Seu credor, o barão Bondre, propõe que ele entre para a sua organização criminosa, conhecida como “O Círculo Negro”. Raoul aceita, mas longo se arrepende e resolve abandonar tudo, fugindo para os Estados Unidos. Trabalhando para um milionário produtor de lã, Raoul logo conquista a filha de seu patrão, mas as sombras do seu passado não demoram a se fazer presentes.
