Nordeste sangrento (1963)
Drama de cangaço com Paulo Goulart e Irma Alvarez Um vaqueiro, Zé Piedade, fugindo à miséria do sertão, encontra um grupo de penitentes que açoitam a beata Izabel. Todos se dirigem à cidade de Juazeiro, ao encontro do Padre Cícero. Durante a intervenção pela beata, o cavalo de Zé Piedade foge. Na busca, ele se depara com um bando de cangaceiros, que se incorpora aos crentes na ida à cidade. Uma volante, comandada pelo Tenente Amado, prende e espanca Zé Piedade. Ele consegue fugir, chegando a Juazeiro no momento da festa do Padre Cícero.
