Hiromichi Horikawa's adaptation of Seika Mayama's work "Genroku Chushingura: Oishi's Final Day". Produced by Toho and starring Ganjiro Nakamura, Senjaku Nakamura, Chikage Ogi, Someshou Matsumoto, Akihiko Hirata, Yu Fujiki, and Koshiro Matsumoto. A 47 Ronin "side story" set in the days leading up to the Ako retainers' forced suicide and focused on the star-crossed romance between Jurozaemon Isogai and Omino Otomeda. Original English subtitles by me (guzareshirei), timing and proofreading by kagetsuhisoka.
