Kikansha Yaemon D51 No Daibouken (1974)
The D51 Yaemon, which used to be a star locomotive, has been failing recently because it can't beat the tide of the years. He is treated as an obsolete nuisance by his fellow locomotives. One day, at last, a railroad crossing However, on the way back to town with Tadashi, he accidentally shoots a large amount of sparks into the diesel locomotive. Haihai, who was irritated by the severe burns, involved the surrounding locomotives and station staff, and finally decided to dismantle Yaemon.
