Boston Combat Zone Miss Exotic Dance Contest April 4 (1979)
This historic exotic dance contest took place at the Picc-a-dilly Lounge in Boston’s Combat Zone on April 4, 1979. Fifteen exotic dancers participated in the only such contest ever filmed in the Zone featuring dancers from several clubs. As the film shows, not all performances were strictly legal. Filming conditions were arduous, with dodgy lighting conditions and primitive --- by today’s standards --- video equipment. The contest was won by Suzanne Monterey, whose performance begins at 12:14 into the video.
