Black Rain (Japanese: 黒い雨, Hepburn: Kuroi ame) is a 1989 Japanese drama film directed by Shōhei Imamura, based on the 1965 novel of the same name by Masuji Ibuse. The story centers on the aftermath of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and its effect on a surviving family.
